Ontario always seems to have a lion’s share of cannabis happenings in the country, and this August shows no sign of letting up. Cannabis events span education, wellness, and lol-inducing genres this month, so grab some buds and make it one to remember. Fall is just around the corner.

Baysville

Cannabis Muskoka Expo

When: Aug. 3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Baysville Ice Skating Rink, 10 University St.
Cottage country gets their own canna-shindig with the Cananbis Muskoka Expo, presented by Circle of Growth. The festival will feature talks from industry leaders like Mark J. Winter of the Cannabis Relief Counsel, Craige McEachern of the Kawartha Knowledge Share Co-op, and Danyka Dunseith of the CannaCollective, a first generation hemp farmer. Get expert advice on edibles from Canna-Chef Matthew Hawkins of Facade. Tickets range between $20 and $50 for this 19+ event.

Solei x Boots & Hearts

When: Aug. 8-11
Where: Porch Stage, Burl’s Creek Event Grounds
This year will be the first Boots and Hearts since the legalization of Cannabis in Canada. To ensure safety and fun to the fullest, Solei, one of Aphria’s recreational cannabis brands, will be educating Canadians at the Solei Discovery Centre.

Ottawa

Cannabis 101 by Hybrid Pharm

When: Aug. 13, 7 p.m.
Where: Hybrid Pharm, 318 Richmond Rd.
Have all your questions on medicinal cannabis use answered at modern wellness pharmacy, Hybrid Pharm during their Q&A session. Demystify buzzwords like CBD, THC, terpenes, and more in person via educated staff. Tickets are $10 for this informative event.

Toronto

High Tide: Canna-Friendly Yoga on the Island

When: Aug. 3, 17, and 31; 5 p.m.
Where: Toronto Island Yoga Centre, 4 Omaha Ave.
Inhale and embrace the open air studio hidden on Toronto’s Algonquin Island, providing an idyllic space for “elevated” yoga. Classes are hosted by Zlata Kovaltchouk, psychotherpist and meditation instructor, and David Taller, founder of the Toronto Island Yoga Center. No cannabis will be provided, but snacks will be. Tickets are $35 for this two-hour experience.

London, Ontario’s own Jeff Leeson headlines this edition of the Canna Comedy Fest along with a QP of laughs from nugs like Chanty Marostica and Rahil Shaikh. Expect things to get a li’l spicy with pole dancing sessions and giveaways! Tickets start at $15 for this 19+ event.
